Decollte Photography is proud to announce that its in-house photographer, Seiji Nishimori, has won Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025, the annual top honor in the wedding photography category (SWPP) at the international photography competition organized by The Society of Photographers, one of the world’s largest professional photography associations based in the UK.
This year, three Decollte photographers were nominated for the prestigious annual awards, which recognize outstanding professional photographers from around the world. The final results were announced at the awards ceremony held in London, where Nishimori rose to the top of the global competition, earning the title of World No. 1 Wedding Photographer.
The competition features monthly judging throughout the year, recognizing works that demonstrate exceptional technical skill and artistic excellence. Thanks to their outstanding performances in the monthly competitions, three Decollte photographers—Seiji Nishimori, Yuta Yamamura, and Keisuke Shimozono—were all nominated for the annual awards. At the awards ceremony in London, Nishimori was announced as the first-place winner in the wedding photography category.
In January 2026, two Decollte photographers, Seiji Nishimori and Yuta Yamamura, attended the awards ceremony held in London.
Amid the anticipation as top photographers from around the world gathered and the final results were announced at the ceremony, Seiji Nishimori was crowned Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025, taking first place in the wedding photography category.
Having three photographers from Decollte nominated for the annual awards, and ultimately producing the world’s No. 1 wedding photographer among them, reaffirmed that the technical expertise and artistic capabilities of our photographers are recognized at the highest level on the international stage.

◆ Winner’s Comment
The moment I heard the word “winner” followed by my name on stage was truly dreamlike. No matter how many times I look back on it, it still fills me with emotion. I hope to become a photographer who gets called to that stage again and again.
What made me happiest was that the photograph recognized was not a model shoot or an image created specifically to win an award, but a fleeting moment captured during an actual wedding photoshoot with our clients. How can I transform an ordinary moment during a shoot into a photograph of genuine artistic value? Having the approach I have focused on in my daily work recognized on an international stage has been a tremendous source of motivation.
I feel this award would not have been possible without the clients who entrusted me with their precious moments, the company that gives me opportunities to take on new challenges, and all the colleagues I work alongside.
Looking ahead, I would love to share with younger photographers the joy of challenging themselves and the feeling of how much their horizons can expand when they take their work to the world stage. Personally, I will continue pushing myself to reach even greater heights, with the goal of becoming a winner for two consecutive years.
