On August 15–16, 2026, Decollte Photography participated in the SINGAPOREBRIDES Wedding Fair 2026, held at Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. This marked our fourth time participating in the SINGAPOREBRIDES Wedding Fair, reflecting our continued commitment to connecting with couples in Singapore who are considering a pre-wedding photoshoot in Japan.

With 79 companies exhibiting at the event, including 10 photography companies, Decollte Photography was proud to be the only Japanese photography company among the exhibitors.

Over the two days, more than 50 couples visited our booth, and we had the opportunity to speak with more than 20 couples in detail about their dream Japan pre-wedding photoshoot. We were also delighted to receive many bookings from couples who visited us at the fair.

Why Are Singapore Couples Interested in Pre-Wedding Photography in Japan?

One of the most interesting things we discovered at the fair was how familiar many visitors already were with Japan.

Most of the couples who came to our booth had visited Japan before. They were not first-time visitors looking simply for the most famous tourist destinations. Instead, many were what we might call experienced Japan travelers — couples who already knew and loved Japan and were looking for something more personal and unique.

This was reflected in the locations they were interested in for their pre-wedding photoshoot.

Rather than simply choosing a famous sightseeing spot, many couples wanted to capture the beauty of Japan through experiences that could only be found here.

From the Snowy Fields of Hokkaido to a Place Filled with Memories

One of the strongest interests was winter pre-wedding photography in Hokkaido.

The idea of standing together in a vast snow-covered landscape, surrounded by the quiet beauty of winter, captured the imagination of many couples.

Some couples also had very personal ideas for their photoshoot locations. For example, they were interested in returning to a place in Japan that already held special meaning for them — perhaps a beautiful location where one partner proposed, or somewhere they had shared an unforgettable moment together.

For these couples, Japan is not simply a backdrop.

Mt. Fuji is also a popular choice, offering one of Japan's most iconic views as the backdrop for wedding photography.

However, compared with the past, we noticed that couples were increasingly interested in experiences beyond these familiar destinations.

In particular, there was a strong desire to experience Japan's spectacular seasonal nature — from snow-covered landscapes in winter to the colors of autumn and the fresh greenery of spring.

As Japanese people ourselves, it was especially wonderful to see how much overseas couples appreciate the natural beauty of Japan throughout the four seasons.

We also met many couples who had very specific preferences when it came to their photographer and wedding outfits.
